Are you retired or thinking about retirement?

I am retired and am having a great life. Many folks when they retire just don’t know what to do with themselves. They are looking for retirement ideas, ways to spend their new found free time. Many haven’t planned for retirement and are at a complete loss of what to do with themselves.

People are so used to going to work everyday, perhaps having the weekends off to pursue their hobbies or pastimes, looking forward to their annual vacation and perhaps looking forward to when they retire.

Then it happens!!

Every hour of every day, the time is your own. It is a shock to the system not having the routine of work. What do you do with the time you have got? It can be quite traumatic for some people.

Obviously what you can do will depend a lot on your personal circumstances, particularly family and children or grandchildren, your health, your financial circumstances and many other things.

What I am hoping to do in this blog is to come up with retirement ideas on what people can do to make their retirement full, happy, rewarding and enjoyable.

There is a new community that retired people or those who are thinking about retirement can join where you can discuss everything about being retired. It’s a MySpace style site, but for more senior members of society. The Retirement Ideas Community
